



A fun loving yet focused individual, Sarvesh is a leader who does not believe in alienating himself from the rest of the team, Sarvesh's approachable nature and his everready spirit to get down to work has been essential in putting The Bait '11 and The Changemakers Conference together. Another integral part of his character is his inherent positivism and heartfelt belief in the event and the abilities of the people around him, helping many a soul when spirits are low at The Debate Club camp. This year as President, Sarvesh is at the forefront of affairs, leading the team forward to make both the events an astounding success.
A trained dancer and singer, Nikhil Raja is not only proficient in the arts but is also an active member is the social work circuit. He initiates various projects to help the needy and is the secretary of the Rotary Interact Club in his school. A very responsible person with the zeal to make thing happen, Nikhil is an invaluable addition to any team working on tight deadlines. This year at The Debate Club, Nikhil is the secretary.
Big things come in small packages. This is probably most true with Vikram Philip. A brilliant debater and the winner of many Best Speaker awards, he believes that ideas can truly make a difference. Very diplomatic, reliable and responsible, he has contributed significantly to ensure the intellectual superiority of The Bait as a part of the Research and Development team.
Mitali has all the ingredients necessary to meet her aspirations of becoming a journalist. Cheerful and always sociable, Mitali looks forward as eagerly to meeting people and making new friends as she does to meeting new challenges. Mitali also makes her presence felt by her simple, calm meticulousness and her penchant for meeting deadlines head on. Passionate about design with a keen eye for aesthetics, Mitali has led the design team, as Chair of Design, in creating the artwork for all The Bait stationery. This multi faceted leader also enjoys singing and dance.
A brilliant debator who never compromises on quality, Sharanya has seen to it that The Bait, no matter how radical or innovative, nevertheless remains one of the country's classiest debates. Lending her thoughtful perspectives on aspects ranging from the debate topics and formats to promotional material, Sharanya has proved herself an exemplary member of the Research and Development wing. Outspoken, yet ever polite, Sharanya's infectious enthusiasm has proved useful at times when many in the core committee seemed disheartened. This natural leader makes no qualms about juggling responsibilites and is at present lending her abilities to organising The Bait side-by side with multiple school activities.
Down to earth and point blank in presenting her views, Priyanka's well balanced nature has helped tethered many a wandering mind at the Bait. A multifacteted polymath, Priyanka is not only a wonderful speaker and debater, but has topped her school and even represented the school in a national level handball event. Never one to think twice about lending a helping hand, Priyanka always is on the job in any crisis situation, as much a dedicated worker as a leader. A member of the schools student council, one of Priyanka's most expemplary traits is her startling humility and no frills approach to work, one of the major factors which led the R&D team to quick success.
Hriday Loonawat is the silent, active guy of the group - effective, persistent and yet, not pushy. Ever smiling and co-operative, Hriday embraces challenge and truly looks at every opportunity as one of learning and growth. With tact when it comes to problem solving, Hriday is a very useful person to have on the scene of any action, irrespective of department. He is the President of the Youth Wing of the Rotary Club of Madras, has represented his school in cricket and has been part of the winning team for the Design For Change contest.
Akhil Prakash is the cheerful teamworker. Without letting his designation restrict him to a particular department, Akhil ensures that he helps wherever and however he can. Aspiring to be an event manager, being a member of The Debate Club is a position he cherishes for the opportunities it provides him to hone his skills.Always calm despite any and all pressure, Akhil is the guy we turn to when we need a level head, calm temperament and efficient work.
Sagar Malhotra is a brilliant orator in his own right. Very dedicated to any cause he chooses to support, he is determined and will go to any lengths to achieve his goal. His enthusiasm and willingness to go that extra mile ensures that he is an invaluable addition to the team. As a debater himself, he ensures that The Bait remains participant-friendly at all times.
